A man on the near west side was shot early Friday morning while lying in bed.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department received a report of a shooting on Groff Avenue in the early hours of the morning, prompting officers to respond at around 1:45 a.m.
According to Capt. John Arvin from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD), the male was transported to the hospital in stable condition by medics. Detectives are currently present at the scene and will be conducting a canvass for door camera footage and potential witnesses who may have observed any activity outside.
According to Arvin, there were at least four other individuals present in the residence during that time.
