On Friday morning, a fire broke out at a historic church located on the northwest side of Indianapolis. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries.
Rita Reith, the spokesperson of IFD, reported that a fire broke out at the Greater Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church situated on N. Harding Street’s 1900 block.
Luckily, the individual who was inside the building at the time of the fire was alerted and managed to escape unharmed.

It is currently believed that the building can be salvaged, although the full extent of the damage is still unclear. IFD reports that the church is gearing up to commemorate its 90th anniversary.
