A Pennsylvania man is facing charges after allegedly assaulting a 3-year-old at a farm show.
A man allegedly assaulted a 3-year-old boy at the Butler Farm Show last week.
Gary Fend Jr., from Butler, is currently facing charges in relation to the incident that occurred on August 9th.
Pennsylvania State Police troopers responded to a report of an assault involving a juvenile at the farm show at around 6 p.m., as stated in the criminal complaint. Witnesses at the scene informed the troopers that Fend had slapped the boy in the face twice with excessive force.
According to the criminal complaint, witnesses reported that the man exhibited excessive force in pushing the boy back into a stroller. The push was so forceful that it caused the stroller to collapse.
After the incident, the young boy was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for a thorough evaluation of his condition. Meanwhile, Fend, the individual responsible for the assault, was charged with multiple offenses including simple assault, harassment, and endangering the welfare of children.
