In La Porte, Indiana, a teenager defiantly raised his middle finger at a police officer before being apprehended following a high-speed chase.
18-year-old Gavin Collier is currently facing charges, including resisting law enforcement.
Ten days ago, the police apprehended him while attempting to steal two quarts of oil from Walmart in La Porte. Despite a high-speed chase, Collier was able to briefly escape, only to be sighted again at Allesee Park.
According to court documents, he further enraged the situation by stepping on the gas pedal once more and overtaking an oncoming police vehicle, all while flipping the officer the middle finger.
The officer had the last laugh, though, as the chase came to an end when the driver finally pulled over in the area of Rumely and Allen Streets.
Collier, in addition, faces charges of possessing a glass pipe containing methamphetamine. He remains in custody at the La Porte County Jail, with a bond set at $755.
The address of the individual listed in the jail records is recorded as unknown.
