In Indianapolis, authorities have recently turned a fatal crash and shooting incident from July into a homicide investigation.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department reported that the incident on July 5 occurred at approximately 6 a.m.
IMPD and EMS responded to a collision at the intersection of North Harding Street and West 18th Street. The accident involved an IndyGo bus and a passenger vehicle, with a third vehicle suffering significant damage.
The crash claimed the life of Treasure Gray, a 21-year-old who sustained gunshot wounds and injuries that proved fatal. Despite efforts to save her, she was taken off life support following the tragic incident.
At first, law enforcement officials classified the case as a death investigation. Nevertheless, the Marion County Coroner’s Office has determined that her demise was a homicide.
