While driving home from work, a teenager and his pregnant girlfriend found themselves in a disturbing situation. It all started when some trash accidentally fell out of the teen’s truck, leading to a shocking shooting incident on the side of the highway.

A a road rage shooting occurred in Indianapolis on July 21, as revealed in court documents. Loose cargo in a work truck’s bed was the cause of the incident.

An 18-year-old recounted his experience of driving back home with his pregnant girlfriend. He mentioned that his truck was carrying some trash from a worksite in Whitestown, and unfortunately, a portion of the trash accidentally fell out when he changed lanes.

A silver Nissan collided with a few of the scattered debris and proceeded to trail the truck.

The teenager informed the police that he prepared to pull over and engage in a conversation with the Nissan driver regarding the incident.

In contrast, he claimed that the car arrived and immediately began firing.

The teenager possessed his own firearm and responded by firing back two times before driving to a nearby gas station to seek assistance from the police.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) received a report about an unusual vehicle discovered parked in a secluded area at Marian University.

The Nissan car, painted in a dull shade of grey, bore the scars of two bullet holes on its exterior.

The police relied on license plate information and surveillance camera footage to trace the whereabouts of the car during the day of the shooting and the following day.

Law enforcement officers found bullets in the car that were consistent with the weapon the teenager had used to retaliate.

The police arrested the owner of the gun, a 19-year-old man, on preliminary charges of aggravated battery and possession of an altered handgun after obtaining a search warrant.
