Diego Morales, the Secretary of State for Indiana, is urging citizens to take action and assist with staffing the polls for the upcoming general election in November.
The Indiana Secretary of State’s office released a statement urging eligible Hoosiers to step up and work as poll workers for the upcoming Election Day on November 5th. The announcement was made on Thursday, in honor of National Poll Worker Recruitment Day. So, if you are eligible, consider serving as a poll worker and contributing to the democratic process.
According to the office, Indiana requires up to 20,000 poll workers to conduct elections that are efficient and trustworthy. The office emphasizes that these workers play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and smooth functioning of the state’s elections.
According to the release, Morales emphasized the significance of having devoted poll workers for the smooth conduct of elections. The success of elections statewide depends on the commitment of Hoosiers who strive to ensure that every vote is counted precisely and effectively.
