With the grant that the Indiana Finance Authority (IFA) awarded, Michigan City’s commitment to enhancing residential housing development and infrastructure has advanced significantly.
Mayor Angie expressed her gratitude towards the Indiana Finance Authority for awarding $4.6 million to Michigan City. The Indiana Residential Infrastructure Fund aims to encourage residential housing development throughout the state by providing support for infrastructure projects. The IFA has a particular focus on loan applications from communities with zoning regulations that are favorable to housing, with 70 percent of the funding directed towards those communities that have populations under 50,000.
