A Michigan man is accused of pursuing his ex-girlfriend in Mercer County and leaving her hundreds of unwanted messages.
The victim informed the police that her ex-boyfriend, 28-year-old Aldo Bardhi, has been stalking her since December 2023 and has left her with hundreds of unwanted voicemails and text messages, according to the criminal complaint.
According to the police, the victim’s disputes with Bardhi originated in December, when the two engaged in a heated argument in the presence of the victim’s two small children at her Grove City residence.
The argument ultimately escalated to the point where he grabbed her throat and strangled her until she was able to escape, according to the police.
The victim has received numerous voicemails and text messages from Bardhi since then, with a significant number of them being threatening, according to the complaint. According to the police, one voicemail contained the following message: “I am going to slit your throat, you b********.” I am going to destroy you. I am going to shoot you in the cranium with a bullet.”
A text message that reads “Those kids are going to see something you wish they never did” was also mentioned by the police. I am going to remove that heart from you, you ungrateful f***.”
The victim informed the police that she believes Bardhi has contacted and messaged her more than 300 times, despite her request for him to refrain from doing so.Furthermore, the victim’s residence in Grove City is four hours away from Bardhi’s Michigan residence, and he is currently in his vehicle outside the residence.
Bardhi is also reported to have been ordering DoorDash for her residence on a regular basis, and he has even offered to pay the ex-boyfriend of the victim’s sister to drive to her house and inform him if she is home. He has also requested that the delivery drivers characterize the vehicles at the residence so that he is aware of who is present.
Bardhi is currently being charged with a variety of offenses, such as simple assault, strangulation, terroristic threats, surveillance, and harassment. He was arraigned on these allegations on July 22 and is scheduled to return to court on August 21 for a preliminary hearing.
