A shooting incident occurred on I-94 in Porter County resulting in the injury of one person. The police responded to a 911 call on Friday, Aug. 9, around 1:20 p.m. regarding the shooting that took place at mile marker 28, situated just west of the truck weigh station.
Upon arriving at the location, they discovered a Jeep Grand Cherokee parked on the side of the road with multiple bullet holes on the driver’s side.
After being shot, the driver of the Jeep received immediate medical attention and was subsequently taken to the hospital to treat a gunshot wound on their lower extremity. Although the injury was not life-threatening, the driver was still injured as a result of the shooting.
As of now, there has been no information regarding any suspects or arrests.
