A man from Center Township who was charged with running a meth lab received his sentence in Indiana County Court yesterday.
Indiana County President Judge Thomas Bianco has sentenced 59-year-old George Sager to a term of up to two years minus a day in Indiana County Jail, along with four years of probation.
This ruling comes as a result of Sager’s involvement in depositing, storing, or disposing of chemical waste, as well as the possession of ephedrine and a controlled substance. The investigation dates back to December 18, 2022, when State Troopers responded to a call at Sager’s residence.
During their search, authorities discovered materials used in the production of methamphetamine, as well as a spent “one-pot”. To process the evidence, the state police clandestine laboratory response team was called in.
Sager was released on parole after completing his jail sentence, which he served while awaiting trial.
