Staff Report
Donald Louis Reygaert Jr., a 52-year-old resident of South Bend, is facing charges of theft. The first charge is for theft, classified as a class A misdemeanor. The second charge is for theft with a prior conviction, which is considered a level 6 felony.
Court documents reveal that a staff member at Bath & Body Works shared with the officer details about the vehicle the suspect entered.
After conducting a thorough investigation, an officer discovered that the suspect vehicle had been pulled over in St. Joseph County on April 4. Reygaert, who was behind the wheel at the time, received a citation as a result of the stop.
In September 2018, Reygaert had been convicted of theft in Elkhart County.
Reygaert was incarcerated in the Kosciusko County Jail on August 29th.
