A suspect has been apprehended to the double murder that occurred in Michigan City last week.
Armann Johnson, a 26-year-old individual, is presently incarcerated in the La Porte County Jail.
A bond worth $100,000.
The suspect is facing murder charges with the shooting deaths that occurred at Normandy Village Apartments in the early hours of Thursday.
According to her, Hootman sustained four gunshot wounds to his left arm and back.
Michigan City Police is expected to release more details later today.
In 2019, court records indicate that Johnson was acquitted of robbery charges, but he was convicted of battery in the same case and subsequently sentenced to three years in prison.
