Several drinks available in Michigan and Indiana grocery stores are marketed as healthy options. While some of these drinks may live up to their claims, it is important to be aware that not all of them are as safe as they seem. One particular drink, which is highly toxic, is now being removed from store shelves in both Michigan and Indiana.

Many families in Michigan and Indiana opt for juice as a healthy beverage option. However, certain juice choices may have adverse effects on health. In a recent development, one brand has taken the initiative to voluntarily recall their juice from stores due to potential risks of causing serious illness.

Walmart has taken the initiative to recall apple juice after the FDA announced that it contained higher than-acceptable levels of arsenic. Consuming excessive amounts of arsenic can lead to symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, which may appear as soon as 30 minutes after consumption. Moreover, the FDA warns that prolonged exposure to elevated levels of inorganic arsenic can potentially result in cancer and heart problems. To ensure safety, residents are advised to inspect their households for the following products:

Great Value is the apple juice brand that is subject to this recall, and it comes in 8-ounce plastic bottles. Specifically, it was sold in 6 packs at Walmart stores in Michigan, Indiana, and 25 other states and regions. If you have purchased this product, check the Best If Used By date, which should be December 28, 2024, and the UPC, which is 0-78742-29655-5. If your product matches this information, it is recommended to either dispose of it immediately or return it to the place of purchase.
