Two individuals were wounded in a shooting incident on the far east side of Indianapolis on Thursday, prompting an investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD).
In the morning of August 22nd, at around 11:45 a.m., police officers were dispatched to the 900 block of North Mitthoefer Road, which is located just south of 10th Street. The reason for their response was a report of a person who had been shot.
Officers discovered two people with gunshot wounds and took them to nearby hospitals for treatment. According to a spokesperson from the department, their conditions were described as “stable.”
Police have not provided any additional information on the circumstances of the shooting.
