An Indianapolis man is now facing numerous armed robbery charges after he utilized a dating app to entice a victim.

Jeremy Agaro is facing charges of armed robbery after he met a man through an online dating app and proceeded to rob him at gunpoint, as stated in court documents.

Agaro reportedly utilized the dating app Jack’d to arrange a meeting with a potential victim. He allegedly connected with a man through the app and eventually met up with him on August 9th.

During the meetup, Agaro, disguised as Jason Brandon, met with his target. The target drove to pick up Agaro, and once Agaro got into the car, he instructed the target to drive around the block.

Agaro reportedly brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s wallet.

Agaro requested the man to transfer a significant amount of money to him through CashApp. However, when the payment was declined, Agaro then suggested that the man send only $25 instead.

After stepping out of the car, Agaro proceeded to leave the vehicle. Without wasting any time, the victim immediately contacted the police to report the incident.

The victim informed the police that his wallet contained an Apple AirTag. On August 11, the victim contacted the police once more, stating that his AirTag was indicating its location at the Burger King restaurant on Crawfordsville Road.

According to court documents, the victim further revealed that his driver’s license was returned to the address listed on it following the occurrence of the crime.

IMPD matched the identity to Agaro by utilizing surveillance cameras and conducting visits to the Burger King.
