After a chase that started in the early hours of Thursday morning on the east side, police managed to capture three juveniles.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department initiated the investigation after receiving a report of shots being fired. Police officers pursued the suspects, who fled the scene in a stolen Kia Soul.
The incident was reported in the 3000 block of N. Emerson Avenue around 3:20 a.m. on Thursday, as stated in IMPD’s incident report.
The pursuit came to a crashing halt, as the suspects made a desperate attempt to flee. However, the officers swiftly apprehended them, with assistance from the Drone Unit and K9 Unit.
The police detained three teenagers, ages 16, 15, and 13. The initial accusations against them encompassed auto theft, resisting law enforcement, and possession of a firearm by a minor. Following the collision, medical personnel evaluated all three individuals involved.
The police confiscated several cell phones and an AR-15-style rifle.
The authorities are still investigating the case.
