Michigan residents have until Monday, July 22 to register online or by mail for the upcoming August 6 Primary Election. Don’t miss your chance to have your voice heard in the election – register now!
Residents who are eligible to vote have the option to register online at www.michigan.gov/Vote or by submitting a completed application to their local clerk through mail or email. The deadline for submission is Monday, and the applications can be accessed online or obtained from the clerk’s office.
In order to meet the requirements for voter registration in Michigan, one must be a resident of Michigan, a citizen of the United States, at least 18 years old on Election Day, and not currently serving a jail or prison sentence.
If you’ve received your absentee ballot already, it’s recommended that you send it out today to avoid any postal delays. Alternatively, you can hand-deliver your ballot to your clerk’s office or a secure ballot drop box.
To ensure that your vote is counted, you must submit your ballot to the clerks by 8 p.m. on Election Day.
