Indiana County Police Investigate Theft of $38,000 Worth of Antique Currency

State Police in Indiana are currently investigating a theft that occurred in Center Township, resulting in a loss of $38,000.

Troopers from PSP Indiana responded to a theft investigation and an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in Center Township, Indiana County, on August 28. This was reported in a release by PSP Indiana on Wednesday. The incident took place in the 2400 block of Luciusboro Road.

The incidents occurred from August 10 at 7:00 a.m. to August 21 at 3:22 p.m., according to the police.

Police have reported that thieves made off with $38,000 worth of antique U.S. currency and Marion Center bank checks.

The vehicle in question is a 2015 Nissan Sentra.

Two individuals from Homer City, a 54-year-old woman and a 64-year-old man, have been identified as the victims. According to the police, a 37-year-old woman from Houston has been arrested.

The investigation is currently in progress. The authorities did not disclose the suspect’s identity.

The suspect’s name will be disclosed once the court document filings are completed. An updated article will be published at that time.
