A man was apprehended in California City for allegedly attempting to hijack two vehicles in Ridgecrest. Additionally, he is accused of stealing his wife’s purse and mugging a man in Cal City.
Officers executed a search warrant in the 100 block of Campfire Drive in California City on August 22, 2024, according to the Ridgecrest Police Department.
According to the police, Jayden Laird was apprehended and subsequently arrested for allegedly attempting to steal two vehicles in Ridgecrest on August 20, 2024.
Police in Ridgecrest reported that officers discovered a purse at the location during the search warrant, which belonged to a Ridgecrest resident.The Ridgecrest citizen was subsequently contacted, and it was discovered that her spouse was robbed in California City on August 22, 2024.
