A woman on the east side of Indianapolis said she was shot early Wednesday morning after taking her husband to work.
There is blood on Desiree Woodson’s van’s driver’s seat, and her floor mat is covered in broken glass.
“I didn’t bother you, hurt you, or say anything to you.” “You guys could have killed me for no reason,” Woodson said.
Around 4 a.m. Wednesday, she said, someone in a red pickup truck shot at her several times on Mitthoefer Road between 10th and 16th streets.
“There was just one on 16th Street.” The first one was here on 10th Street, and then I heard four or five shots while I was riding by,” Woodson said.
The windows of Desiree Woodson’s van on Mitthoeffer Road were broken by bullets early Wednesday, August 7, 2024.
A bullet hole was made in the back of her van, and another shot broke the back window. Woodson said that some of the gunfire hit her in the hand through the passenger side window and blew out the driver’s side window.
“There were two men, and I’m a woman by myself.” What did you really think I was going to do to you? And I’m leaving you in my car, so why are you shooting at me? I’m not sure. He said, “It’s crazy.”
