An Indianapolis police officer was apprehended in Hendricks County late Tuesday for alleged sex offenses.

One count of public voyeurism and three counts of child molesting were preliminarily filed against Kamal Bola, 35. One of the charges alleges that Bola committed the offense while armed with a deadly weapon or using deadly force.

Bola will be the fourth officer in the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department‘s ranks to be arrested this year on suspicion of committing sex offenses.

In August, Javed Richards was apprehended and charged with 13 counts of child exploitation and one count of possession of child pornography. Detectives discovered that Richards was allegedly uploading and downloading material that sexually exploited children on the internet.

In April,Myron Howard  was apprehended after two women reported that they had been sexually assaulted after encountering him during those contacts. In January, Paul Humphrey was accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old and was subsequently charged. The cases of all three officers are still pending.

At the time of publication, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department had not issued a statement or provided any information regarding Bola’s tenure on the force.
