The Rock Island County and Scott County recorders have introduced an online tool to notify property owners about possible fraud.
According to a recent press release, the main goal of the Property Fraud Alert system is to provide instant alerts to property owners, real estate agents, and title companies whenever any suspicious activity is detected in connection to their properties. This free platform is designed to keep everyone informed in real time and help prevent fraudulent activities from taking place.
Kelly Fisher, the Rock Island County Recorder, and Rita Vargas, the Scott County Recorder, express their mission to equip property owners with the necessary tools to promptly detect and respond to potential fraud. Their ultimate goal is to provide peace of mind to property owners.
To access the platform, simply visit the websites of either office (RICo or Scott).
To avail of this complimentary service, simply visit www.propertyfraudalert.com and register.
In 71 counties in Illinois and 10 counties in Iowa, Recorder offices are offering the Property Fraud Alert as a free service. This service is designed to protect property owners from fraudulent activities.
