Two arrests were made in Indianapolis as a result of a failed robbery attempt, which was another instance of violent crime. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) responded to an emergency contact yesterday regarding gunshots heard on the city’s south side.

According to an account by WTHR, officers arrived at the scene in the 8000 block of Madison Avenue to find a male casualty with a gunshot wound. The incident occurred on September 2 at approximately 1:30 p.m. in the vicinity of East Stop 11 Road. Upon being transported to Eskenazi Hospital for treatment, the injured man’s condition was stable.

Two alleged perpetrators, 21-year-old Lazaruis Harrell and 19-year-old Markell Coles, were apprehended subsequent to investigations. As confirmed by a follow-up report posted on the IMPD’s official Facebook page, they were apprehended on charges related to the robbery. According to reports, a juvenile suspect, whose identity has been withheld, was also temporarily detained as part of the investigation. The IMPD is meticulously examining the attempted robbery’s specifics.
